O Fortuna is a song in Latin set to music by Carl Orff from Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi (Fortune, Empress of the World), a scene in the play Carmina Burana. Today, aside from the fame it has created by itself in the show, O Fortuna is recongizable as background music for movies such as Glory (1989) and Excalibur (1981) as well as many commercials.
